How we work.
Four phases. A team that expands and contracts with your need. The shortest path from problem to working software.
Discover
1 – 4 weeksWe learn the problem before we touch the keyboard. Most of the value of an engagement lives in this phase.
We spend the first weeks with the people who will use the thing. Interviews, shadowing, mapping the current process — paper if we have to. The output is comprehensive: a technical spec, a non-technical spec, and a shared map of everything that needs to happen.
If we do not think the project is right for you, we usually know before Discovery begins. On the rare occasions the work changes shape in this phase, we say so plainly and adjust the plan before anyone starts building.
Develop
4 weeks → 18 monthsOne to four of us, plus our AI counterparts, working in short loops and putting working software in front of you constantly.
Develop phase is mostly making the thing. We update staging regularly, write weekly notes, and invite you to use the system as it grows. The tech stack is whatever the problem calls for — usually our NestledJS foundation, and something outside the box when the problem genuinely needs it.
We don't have meetings unless someone has a question that needs more than a paragraph to answer. Most weeks, the cadence is daily builds or staging updates, plus a Friday write-up that keeps everyone oriented.
Deliver
OngoingMost of our work is long-form. Delivery isn't a handoff — it's the studio quietly running in the background while you do your job.
When the project ships, the studio stays. Most of our partners have been with us for years; a few for over a decade. We run a small retainer that covers everything from "the email pipeline is misbehaving" to "we want to launch a new product line in six weeks."
If you'd rather take it in-house, we hand it over cleanly — documented, deployable, with two weeks of pairing built into the wrap-up.
Distill
RetainerOnce the system is live, the work becomes refinement: sales, performance, UX, and the constant pressure to make the machine better.
For partners on retainer, we move into an ongoing cycle of measurement and optimization. We watch where the system creates value, where it leaks attention, where people hesitate, and where automation can remove friction.
Split testing, performance tuning, interface refinement, conversion work, and operational cleanup are not afterthoughts. They are part of the method. The launch gives us the first working version; Distill turns it into an instrument.
