# Pirate & Fox

> A boutique software studio in Aguada, Puerto Rico building AI-native products, frameworks, and systems.

Pirate & Fox designs and engineers software with AI at the core — not bolted on. The studio works across SaaS platforms, internal tooling, open-source frameworks, hardware, and consulting engagements for companies that want to build the way AI-native teams build.

The studio is small by design: four core people, distributed across Puerto Rico, Mexico, the US and the UK, working on a small number of projects at a time. Founded in 1999. Clients are early-stage founders, scaling companies, and organizations integrating AI into existing workflows.

## Team

- Justin Handley — Founder & Principal. Started the studio in 1999. Writes most of the code and design, and most of the AI. Lives in Aguada with too many animals.
- Vera López Rivera — Executive Assistant. Brand new to the team and already holding the edges together: calendars, details, and keeping us moving.
- Edgar Gutiérrez Mata — CFO & COO. Handles finance, operations, and the audits nobody volunteers for. Keeps the business side of the studio as tight as the code.
- Charlie Kelland — AI & Marketing. Runs paid media when the work calls for it, and is moving deeper into AI automation for teams that need sharper systems.
